Adjust design size to product size

Our product image in the Design Tool shows you a standard size (i.e. M). Choose your design size in relation to the standard size. If you order the product in a different size, the design cannot automatically be adjusted to the product size. The absolute size of your design will remain, regardless of whether you order it in S or 4XL. This is why the design may appear somewhat bigger or smaller on the actual product you receive.

Tip:

  • You’re ordering for a group: Order tops for kids and particularly small and big sizes separately, and adjust the design size manually. Make the design a bit smaller (i.e. for XS) and bigger (i.e. for XL) for favourable results.

  • Make sure that the design won’t look too small. Make it a bit bigger on products like aprons, blankets or pillows to achieve favourable results.: You’re ordering a product with a huge print area:

How do I make a printable vector graphics file?

Vector graphics consist of lines, circles and curves, which means that enlarging or decreasing their size can be carried out without quality loss. Several software programmes help you create vector graphics, e.g. Corel Draw, Adobe Illustrator or Inkscape.
Please be sure to heed the advise below when creating them. Once you’ve uploaded your design, we will run an automatic check to see whether it meets our criteria. We may need to make minor changes. For example, we adjust parts of the design which are too small to print on a T-shirt. In case automatic changes aren’t possible, it will be pointed out when uploading. That’s not a problem, though. In this case, please refer your Design ID to our Customer Service.

  • Size

We recommend a maximum size of 28x28cm to make your design suitable for any product. The maximum size possible is 38x38cm
  • Line weight / width

Lines and other parts of the design need to at least 1.5mm thick. Margins between 2 different design elements need to be smaller than 1mm.
Tip: In order to make sure that the lines are thick enough, use a circle with a 1.5mm diameter and mouse over the thinnest lines of the design.
  • Colours

You can use up to 3 colours. Colour gradients are not possible.
  • Paths

All printable objects and parts of it need to be rendered into paths. Pixel graphics (e.g. jpg) cannot be used.
  • Formats

We support the following data formats: .svg and .ai. .Cdr data type files are best exported as .svg. You can also use the following online software to convert .png, .jpg etc. into .svg: https://image.online-convert.com/convert-to-svg. Please note: this free online service does not validate aforementioned criteria.
