FAQs
Screen Printing
Screen printing is a traditional craftsmanship where each colour of your design is applied to the product with its own screen. This creates rich, intensely vibrant colours. Especially suited for group orders.
How Screen Printing works
Screen printing is a direct printing process (like Digital Direct Printing and Direct to Foil Printing). However, as the name suggests, the colour is not transferred digitally to the fabric, but using a screen. The screens are stencils that are created for each individual colour of the motif. After the textile is stretched, the colours are successively spread onto the fabric through the screens using a squeegee. Once the ink is dried, it is fixed, so that the design remains durable and elastic for a long time, even after frequent washing. Since it is a very elaborate process to make screens for each individual colour, we allow designs with up to five colours per page. There is a one-time cost of £35.99 for the setup of the screens.
Bright colours
Screen printing is popular for its high print quality. It produces bold, bright, and opaque colours, both for designs with few colours and for filigree motifs with fine details. To ensure that the designs also shine on dark textiles, a layer of white ink is spread onto the textile before the actual colour is applied.
Perfect for team orders
The larger the order volume, the cheaper the individual print. That's because screens must be made for each design – or, more precisely, each colour of the design. Production in large quantities, such as group orders of t-shirts, hoodies, or jerseys, is therefore less expensive. For this reason, we set a minimum order quantity of 20 pieces.
